In the name of raising funds to support mental health awareness in the construction industry, we’re planning something big. Between the 29th May and 1st of June teams will be taking part in the road trip of a lifetime, travelling from Hull to Cannes in time for the annual MIPIM event. With a series of challenges planned, and some great locations to pass on the way, this trip promises to be full of thrills and spills.
In order to raise the profile of mental health within the construction industry we have set up our own charity, the Pagabo Foundation. Our aim is to provide support to existing mental health charities through signposting and funding, while also making funds available for SME’s within the sector to help support their workforce with any mental health related issues. We have various initiatives and events planned to help raise this money, with our road trip ‘Chitty Chitty Cannes Cannes’ targeting upwards of £40,000.
A 'climate positive' event
Thanks to the Plant a Tree Today Foundation, we are able to calculate that during this trip our cars will travel a combined distance of 4348 miles which will generate a total of 4.30 tonnes of carbon, and in order to offset this amount of carbon we will be planting 10 trees as part of the One ‘Hull’ of a Forest project.
