£10bn Major Works framework goes live!

Date: 17/04/2020

Categories: Pagabo News

We are delighted that after many months of engagement days, three mobilisation sessions and a lifetime supply of sticky notes used, our Major Works framework is now live and ready for our clients and contractors.

It’s the second generation of our Major Works contract, the first of which saw 37 projects enabled and in excess of £915m in project value, all contributing to our recent milestone of over £2.5bn in social value enabled.

All of our frameworks are fully OJEU compliant and our Major Works framework is no different. It will provide both our public and private sector clients with the ability to quickly and compliantly appoint from a range of contractors, be that through a Direct Award or Further Competition process.

Lots and providers

The framework includes 27 contractors operating across our seven UK regions and delivering projects starting at £5m in value.

Lot 1 is available to access for all projects starting at £5m and is capped at £15m in value. Lot 2 is available for all projects with values between £15m-£30m, while lot 3 covers all projects valued at £30m and above.

We have already worked closely alongside many of the contractors within these lots to deliver some truly unique and impactful schemes right across the UK. But the framework also sees us begin new relationships with contractors we haven’t previously worked with but we are sure they will become valued members within the Pagabo ecosystem for years to come.

Jason Stapley, Managing Director at Pagabo had this to say prior to the launch:

‘I am absolutely delighted that after many months of hard work our Major Works framework is now live and in place for clients right across the UK to take advantage of.’

‘We were blown away by the number of contractors who bided for a place on the framework, but feel it is testament to our ever-growing reputation within the construction industry, not only as a framework provider, but as something much more than that with strong commitments to technology, mental health and social value.’

‘Because of the rigorous tendering process each had to go through to gain a place on the framework, we truly believe we have the highest quality contractors on the market who have continually proved their ability to deliver high quality projects to both the public and private sector.’

The first iteration of the framework saw double digit growth year on year from its inception in 2016 and Jason believes its second iteration will continue in the same manner.

Jason said: ‘With the flexibility and simplicity that the framework offers clients, partnered with the quality of contractors available across each of the lots, I truly expect this iteration to go above and beyond its predecessor and continue to enable more great schemes which have a hugely positive impact on the communities in which they are delivered.’

We are all extremely excited with what the future holds for this framework and can’t wait to see what great projects it enables from here on in.

The framework will run for up to six years and is available to use from April 19th, 2020.
