We are extremely pleased to announce that former civil service head, Bob Kerslake, has taken up the role as Pagabo’s first ever non-executive chairman.
Lord Kerslake joins Pagabo with many years of public sector experience, with roles including, secretary for the Department for Communities and Local Government and chief executive of the Homes and Communities Agency.
As non-executive chairman, Lord Kerslake will be working alongside the rest of the Pagabo board to help the business become a key player in the UK’s future public sector procurement policies, as well as in our role to enable social value and develop innovative ways of delivering procurement.
Lord Kerslake said: “Pagabo is a hugely exciting business and a challenger brand in the sector. I am honoured to join the board at Pagabo and contribute to its innovative approach to the sector and into the wider industry.
“Frameworks now play a significant role in the way the industry as a whole operates, and Pagabo’s technology-led approach is leading the field in delivering solid pipelines of work for suppliers and social value for its clients.
“My role will be to help Pagabo in developing the way it sets out its frameworks and growing the wider understanding of why they are important and what they give to the client and the supplier. The organisation’s approach to investing surpluses back into the sector and engaging in the debate around the future of construction is exactly what is needed in the industry at the moment, and I’m excited to contribute to this."
A word from our chief executive
Lord Kerslake’s values and influence matches our own vision and values, said Simon Toplass, chief executive of Pagabo.
Simon said: “Lord Kerslake’s vast experience and expertise will bring new insight, support and contribution to the Pagabo organisation, supporting our progressive approach and establishing us further as a challenger brand to the traditional framework model.
“His passions of technology and sustainability mirrors our own, and he will provide invaluable insight into how we can approach the future of construction through training and skills.”
This is a truly exciting move for everyone associated with Pagabo and will help to cement our place as one of the UK’s leading national framework providers.
Welcome aboard, Bob and good luck!
