On the back of becoming a Social Value Pioneer in July, we are delighted to announce we have hit the milestone of £1.5bn in social value enabled by works that are being procured through our frameworks. This new milestone means a lot to us as we put Social Value at the forefront of our business and what we do.
At Pagabo we recognise the importance that procurement has in providing social value to individuals, communities and businesses who are involved in or affected by their projects. At the core of our business is helping clients with their social value reports by making the process as clean and simple as possible and supporting our suppliers to deliver more and better social value through their contracts.
Calculated through the use of the Social Profit Calculator, works procured through our frameworks have created 1585 new jobs, 436 placements and 417 apprentices. Plus, we feel it is important to help the communities surrounding the business too, showing this, these works since 2017 have created over £821m in value to local economies.
We’ve also been able to split out the impact more locally to our seven key regions across the UK, with Northern Ireland benefitting to the tune of over £18m in social value, the Midlands gaining £248m, the North of England at £480m and London & the South East benefitting from £837m.
Simon Toplass, CEO
“We’re really proud at Pagabo to have reached such a significant milestone. Social value and social engagement is fundamental in everything we do. With our latest construction frameworks being tendered in September, we will once again demonstrate our passion for continuous improvement. We will ensure the correct measures are in place at a framework level to allow our clients to manage their own organisations to deliver the maximum social impact.“
